Primary Eye and Vision Care was formed in 2011 by Dr. Conrad and Dr. Dreslinski. The philosophy of practice revolves around the private, independent setting that allows for the flexibility required to truly deliver customized vision solutions for the patients - an individual practice for an individual person.

Dr. Dreslinski completed optometry training at Ohio State, the Columbus, OH Veteran's Affairs (VA) System, and Central Ohio Eye Associates, a large surgical and ocular disease practice. Dr. Dreslinski currently sees patients at both the Howell and Brighton offices. In addition to ocular disease, Dr. Dreslinski has a special interest focus in the ocular impact of systemic and neurological disease.

Dr. Conrad completed optometry training at Ohio State, Northeast Ohio Veteran's Affairs (VA) System, University Hospitals Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and various community based clinics and private practices. Dr. Conrad currently sees patients at both the Howell and Brighton offices as well as at the Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation facility in Lansing. In addition to neuro-optometry, Dr. Conrad has a special interest focus in pediatric vision.

Dr. Heinze practiced full scope optometry in Howell for 48 years. He is the founder of the Howell office. His years in the field saw a complete revolution of the scope of practice for optometrists. Dr. Heinze's special interest focus revolved around glaucoma care and specialty contact lens fitting. Dr. Heinze retired from practice in 2012. 

Dr. Frederick Faes received  B.Sc. and M.A. in Psychology from Wayne State University. He then graduated cum laude from Southern California College of Optometry with a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.). Dr. Faes completed advanced training at the Low Vision Center and Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Los Angeles, CA. Specialized clinical education in ocular pathology was obtained at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. He has been published in the American Journal of Optometry and Physiological Optics and the Review of Optometry.

Dr. Faes has been in private practice in Brighton for 27 years and has a special interest in contact lenses and anterior segment eye disease. He continues to practice and support several organizations and community activities in Livingston County. 


Dianna Sweet, CPOT

Dianna's career of service to the optometric profession is admirable. She has received both the Michigan and National Paraoptometric of the Year Awards. Her wealth of experience translates to expert ophthalmic dispensing. Her ability in medical optometric assisting continues to expand as the doctors treat the spectrum of ocular disease.



Lin Zizka, ABOM

Lin has both her ABO and Master in Ophthalmic Optics certification. She has extensive experience in all aspects of the optical industry and has owned and operated her own optical business. Lin has worked in the optical field for nearly 30 years and has special abilities in frame display and frame selection.



Kris McDonough, Paraoptometric

Kris handles the ever changing field of medical billing. Her commitment to helping patients bridge the communication gap for health benefits is most helpful. Since we are able to bill both vision and medical insurance, patients can be confident that Kris has the answers.


Judy Faes, Optician

Judy has over 20 years of experience in managing and customer service. She coordinates all business activities such as purchasing, billing, and accounting. Judy has a special interest in frame selection, optical dispensing, and optometric assisting. Her favorite continuing education event is the annual SECO convention in Atlanta.
